For me there are 2 things that make analogue photography so attractive.
First – the process
I enjoy the process itself. Inserting the film into the camera. Photographing more deliberately and more slowly. To develop the film. To take the finished film out of the developer tank and see the negative strip. Its a magical moment.
Second – photographing people
When it comes to portrait photos, analogue film has a magic all its own. I think it is the great gradients that are possible on film. Analogue photography makes it possible to capture the soul of a human being.
Here are a few pictures of my last film roll. TRI-X 400 pushed to 800. Scanned with my Canon RP, EF 24-105mm F3.5-5.6 IS STM, and Macro Extension Tubes.
